so, I read, and I read in search of it,

but it eluded me.

in returning to the old sage, only to find he had passed away,

who would I turn to now?

the one with the answer is dead.

the one who bore this grief in me is gone.

20 years later.....

I heard your voice again

calling out to me from the pages.

Like an angelic friend well versed

in the myths of ancient sages.

From Deep in the embers of my broken heart that bleeds.

As I remember the wisdom of your spoken words that I read.

That a hero has always been twin

to the villain in me.

Who kept me bound within,

Like I was the enemy.

So, I entered the Cave to find I was the slave of my own tyranny.

But no one can save me from this grave for only I could set me free.

Who am I and what have I been? In such malaise of discontent,

the poignant question led me to the cave, to enter in.

Into myself, where shadow and twin abide and the blade of Mystery delves

ever so deeply, below the surface and there’s nowhere to hide.

Piercing my idolic heart. Where the thrones of pride & fear thrive

but it is here where they will die and I will rise in the likeness of Christ.

Where this is more than just metaphor and the rebirth of a resurrected life……..

So, now I leave the cave no longer a slave but to follow my bliss and be truly alive!

To be Free and saved in this new age led by a sage who never leaves my side!
