The woman across from him drinks her coffee.
Oh, what a sweet aroma that rises to the nostrils.
Then abruptly she changed her seat, moving closer to him facing opposite of his direction.
She huddled with this coffee in silence as Christmas Carol's jingle softly above. Occasionally looking down reading
a novel of which he could not tell.
She frequently sips the coffee almost kissing its rim in satisfaction.
daydreaming in a hypnotic stare at times then taking a pause in between to take in more caffeine.
Perhaps she just walked a long cold journey, Where the elements froze with icicles hanging from our eyelids and nose. Maybe they were tears that turned to ice much like her body, which thawed out slowly before his eyes.
Only she knows the solemn song deep down at the core of her grief, the lament of a broken heart which palpitates with lifeless rhythms.
She pulled out a picture and held it to her fridge cheek, which matched the color of a lover's Rose, sobbing slightly.
he had the urge to comfort her as he could not abate his feelings of pity.
the suffering she displayed aroused great concern.
He imagined approaching the table in consolation, sitting and placing his hand over hers, as she rests her brow on his shoulder.
He imagined 2 nameless strangers embraced in the arms of compassion, but reality slapped him back into its realm.
that no one goes to such great lengths for humanity anymore.
Only saints and showman do such things. He thought he would make a fool of himself if he had meddled into her personal life and decided to leave her be.
After another long gulp of Java, a smile came over her face, as she delved in deep thought and placed the novel on the table which was titled,
"A woman's tale: how to murder your unfaithful husband."
an eerie grin flashed showing her coffee stained teeth, as she kicked up her feet onto a chair.
Engaging in another long gulp, she sat back staring at the novel.
hypnotized by its title,
enchanted by its theme,
Enamored by the idea.
