The Great Cosmic Poem
By Michael A. Gomez

In writing, we create nothing.
new ideas are really rented from yesterday and dressed in a new suit.
in essence, no one writes anything original.
it's all subconsciously borrowed but it's the ego, which stakes the claim of
"this has never been done before, I have broken new ground!"
this is selfish pride and a wrong conceptualization of oneself.
if you read thousands of writers you will see, you are merely a carbon copy of a thousand other writers and it is our past writers who have inspired the Arts today.
For thousands of years the Arts have permeated our cultures and have produced through us, it's Concepts and ideas that only change and adapt to the time period And culture of the present time, but you are more than a carbon copy, actually, you are necessary to keep the vision and dream of The Poets from long ago, alive.
we are the very breath that breathes New Life into this world with hope. So forget about yourself and remember the great muses of the past. And they will rekindle the spark of inspiration for today, for here and now and inevitably for tomorrow as well, but right now pick up your pen at this moment and breathe life unto the blank page and serve the moment, not to create but to transcend selfish thoughts such as "I created this" and rather flow with the cosmic energy within and without and become one of the selfless ones by joining in the writing of the Great Cosmic Poem.
