19 Monks Written by: Michael A. Gomez January 20, 2026

all the weapons of war could not penetrate one's heart as these 19 monks have. Who would have thought a walk for peace & compassion would be more powerful than a bullet or a violent mob. But a conquest, dominance or taking land will never usher in peace because those measures are fear based and is not what brings healing. it is surrender, inner surrender to the truth. It begins within, individually and spreads to the collective.

But if we allow our emotions and feelings to govern our daily lives we only create the very suffering we constantly seek to free ourselves of. When we free ourselves of the toxic mindsets, the poison dissipates and clarity fills the void that had been filled by the torrent of disillusioned ideas and concepts that ultimately bind us to our very state of suffering. Our minds are not meant for juggling multiple endeavors…

Brain-Chains

Emancipation for the communities of our black brothers & sisters who have been lied to and manipulated into believing the democratic party is for them. Democratic policies have destroyed many black communities keeping them dependent on gov while tearing families apart.

Tearing families apart by giving incentives for unmarried women to live in dependency upon gov and its self-degrading and debilitating policies that only bring about a lower view of oneself in a life with no higher calling, purpose or sense of true value to life.

With grievances that can only be reconciled by having a truly woke moment in seeing the writing on the wall. That they are a unique people that are better than the demo party sees them. And how the demo party only perpetuates the lie of self-degradation of our dear brothers and sisters.

Cafe Woman written by Michael A Gomez winter 2005

The woman across from him drinks her coffee.

Oh, what a sweet aroma that rises to the nostrils.

Then abruptly she changed her seat, moving closer to him facing opposite of his direction.

She huddled with this coffee in silence as Christmas Carol's jingle softly above.  Occasionally looking down reading

a novel of which he could not tell.

She frequently sips the coffee almost kissing its rim in satisfaction.
